A word about Conceptual and Fine Art photo work…

The question often arises : “What is the difference between Conceptual/Fine Art Portraiture and ‘regular’ Portraiture?” I knew the answer in my gut, contextually, but was unable to articulate it concisely. So I did a bit of research.

The best answer I came across is this: The subject of a Portrait is the sitter themselves; the subject of a Fine Art and Conceptual photograph is the story.

The works in this section can be realistic or imagined; they can range from fun and whimsical to dark and obscure. The exploration of imagination is found here. To quote Forrest Gump: “…you never know what you’re gonna get.”

What ideas and dreams lurk in your imagination? I invite you to come and bring them to life with me while creating a unique piece of photographic art to be treasured always.
